        Works really well with the iPad, however Galaxy S9+ connects to the wireless network fine but won’t display video feed or detect camera in “WiFi View”.
        Reinstalled app.
        Renamed network.
        Took security out.
        iPad fine. Android fail.

          1. Try to turn off the date celluar of your S9+ when using the camera;
          2. Try another app named: “DEPSTECH-WIFI” from Google Play Store;

    I can not get this to work. I have connected to the wifi from the product, and I have loaded the app on my current iPhone iOS v 10.2
    When I start the application and attempt to see the camera, I get a message saying “Haven’t connected to the Wifi of end.

    Had repeated troubles connecting the WiFi, but, once successful, have not had any problems. The blue light ‘flickers’ more than ‘flashes’. Pretty surprised by the quality. I bought it to check the pump’s condition on top of my truck’s gastank, and can now envision many other tasks, such as checking inside walls during rewiring, reading serial number plates on the back of heavy machinery, etc.

      Step 1: Anticlockwise rotation to separate the small cap on the camera tip from the cable;
      Step 2: Take out the mirror attachment, intall it to the camera tip, clockwise rotation to fasten it, then you can use the mirror now.

    Hello! I read carefully all entries here and at different sources online. When I start the Android app the screen is black, so no pictures from the camera and the standard settings are always “WiFi_View” and “********” (the resolution is 640*480). When I try to change the settings to Jetion_fb30f79c (like the sticker on the device says) I get a message a few seconds later saying “(i) TIPS” and “Setting failure”. The password is still 12345678 because I can connect to the Wifi as such with my laptop and mobile phone. What I realized is that the blue LED would shine but not flicker and thatthe camera, altough I see nothing and I turned the LEDs down, get sreally warm. Everytime I hit “BACK” in the settings and open the settings again the values have changed to “WiFi_View”…and believe it or not…while writing this I wanted to try it a last time…and it suddenly works. I tried 4 hours yesterday and 2 hours today and it would not show me anything. And now suddenly, without any change, it works. When I change the resolution now I get the meaasage “(i) TIPS Setting Success”. What did I do wrong? Cause it can not happen again when I am with a customer! I need a reliable device.

I have spent 12 hours futzing with this half baked camera and is turning out to be a get what you pay for. Completely unreliable. No one should have to put up with this unpredictable junk.     Hi, used the endoscope today with my ipad air, connected and works good, recorded several videos with it. Looking at the app I can see the vids, in the photo album of the pad I see only first pictures, clicking on vid says download error and video does not play, but i see the timeline at the bottom to scroll trough the video. ios 11.1.1

        Got camera today (Aug 4, 2018). Changed SSID and Password, then of course forgot my password. So here’s a couple of extra tips for resetting wifi.
        1) my camera does have a hole next to the Micro USB charging port
        2) the Included ‘reset’ tool has a very narrow flat tip. This makes it hard to directly ‘always’ just press the reset button easily. I broke the tip off a toothpick and was much easier to press and hold the button in.
        3) I couldn’t get the SSID/Password to reset until I held the reset button in and then powered on the device.

        Now back up and able to get it again. Good Luck

    why is your product unable to incorporate basic functionality regarding password security complexity. You would prefer your customers to lower their (wi-fi) network security in order to use your product because the design is bad? This seems backwards. You should be interested in improving your product and making customers more satisfied with your product. Am I missing something here?

    I purchased this camera for work, and am now trying to upload approx. 70 pics to forward to my customer overseas. This process is not working. I have connected the micro USB to USB from phone (Motorola Moto Z force. Android) and have been attempting to upload but will not work properly when trying to send to my email no attachment to file.     Can’t Connect Depstech Borescope through WIFI Either (solved) :

    I received the borescope as a Christmas gift and then the frustration begin. Fortunately, after trial and many inconsistent password error’s I figured out why so many of us are having trouble with “password” or “can’t join network”. I got smart and went to a corner of my house where the house wifi gives a poor signal. I turned on the borescope and immediately it connected with the “Jetion_*******”” network and the factory default password I had typed 100 times it seemed. The issue is your home wifi signal is over powering the poor little bore scope wifi/ “Jetion_*******” network signal, and you must take the borescope and move it out of range of the home router or power down your home router briefly to use the borescope. I didn’t see this answer in the above comments, so I hope this helps a few people. It is a neat little product once you figure out this simple wifi conflict.

    WF010/020 Wi-Fi will connect to a Gateway NE71B series laptop running Windows 10 Home but the software (WIFI-VIEW1.0.4.zip) installs but will not open. Error message about camera goes by too fast for me to read. Strangely, it will connect to a friends HP laptop also running Windows 10 Home and the software seems to run fine. Any assistance you can provide will be appreciated.

        Yes, the Gateway has built in Wi-Fi and the Boroscope does connect to the laptop. I have un-zipped the software and installed it successfully on Windows 10 Home. The problem I’m having is with the program itself. WIFI-VIEW starts to open and then quits with an error message about the camera. Hope this helps you figure out what is going wrong. Thanks.

    This is a lousy product. I bought a new Android phone and so far, its not working. Will connect to the wifi for about 20 seconds, and then disconnects, even with a full battery charge. VERY UNHAPPY! Since I got this as a gift, I can’t even return it! The customer service seems pretty lousy too. Whoever wrote the intstructions clearly lacks any understanding of the English language.

    Got the wifi endoscope as a Christmas present. I can’t get it to work with my Android phone, a Moto X Pure Edition with Android 7. It works on my wife’s Samsung S8 and on my iPad, but not on the Moto X. I tried the Depstech app and the Wifi View app, both of which are mentioned in the instructions. Moto X is OTG capable. It connects via wifi to the endoscope, but nothing appears on the screen.

    Great product. Very easy to setup and use on my Android phones. This is exactly what I was wanting and expecting for this great price. The only issue I’m having is trying to connect with my PC. I’ve downloaded the WiFi View software, can successfully connect to the camera with my PC via WiFi. But when I try to open the WiFi View software, it says that it can’t find any cameras to connect.

    Similar issue as several others, I have downloaded the Wifi View software, unzipped it and installed it on my 3 windows computers. It works fine on my HP Laptop running windows 10. On my HP desktop, also windows 10, the wifi connects, but the wifi view software will not open, giving an error of ‘the camera has stopped working’ as it tries to open. I get this same error on my Dell laptop and it too connects to the wifi fine. The problem is something with the wifi view program, as it crashes while trying to open. I have tried various compatibility options with no success. You have told several others above that you will contact them directly with a solution. I too need this solution, as wifi view will not run on 2 of my 3 computers. Works great on the other, so I know it is not a problem with the endoscope. Please provide some guidance on how to solve this.

    Very nice instrument. The app for IOS does not store movies to the IOS photo album and the built in player is very limited (no scrolling for example). I would encourage tighter integration with IOS – but otherwise this is a cost effective, useful tool ! Thank you !

    I have connected the camera using the app YAUN PEI version 1.5 to my iPhone 7 via WIFI with iOS 11.3 also have tried my iPad 2 with iOS 9.3 but when I start the app on either the iPhone or iPad, there is no image, just a black screen.
    I can send commands to the unit ie. set resolution, set resolution, Reboot WIFI etc. and watch the blue light flicker but still no image on the screen. WIFI is logged in properly, Blue light is on and flickers when I send the commands, I also have the power cord attached but no images. LEDs can be varied with brightness etc.
    Very poor WIFI interface, I may have to return to Amazon.
    Worked for Apple for 17 years as an engineer so I know the systems and software.
    You also need to install a front end for a web browser using the IP address so we can debug the system and download logs.

    I got the wifi connection and camera to work right away after following instructions, and started testing it out. When I used it to inspect a drain, right after it got wet the image went black. I turned it off and reconnected, still no image. This morning I charged it back up and it must have dried out because it is working fine. Does the camera go blank when battery starts to run down (blue/red lights were still on, still connected) or was getting it wet that caused the problem? Afraid to use in wet conditions now.

    The Android App does not allow a “-” for a Wifi SSID. It just echoes the SSID name. For example, when I type in “myssid-1”, the dash does not appear and instead it shows “myssidmyssid11”. Cannot connect to Wifi, thought I would try to post here before I return it. Any workarounds?

    Hello,
    This arrived from Amazon Australia today and I charged the battery from my computer USB port. I cannot tell if the battery is fully charged but the device turns on. Both lights turn on and the light on the scope turn on.

    I connect to my Pixel2 via wifi using the default password. It shows Connected with No Internet.

    I open the depstech wifi app from the google play store and see a black screen.

    The blue light flickers from time to time but no video shows. Default resolution is 320×240. When I try changing this to anything else and click the Modify Resolution button it displays an error message (Setting Failure). Which tells me the device is not connected.

    The depstech device is 4 inches away from the phone.

    I’ve tried resetting the password on the device. Turning it off and on. Turning my phone off and on. Restarting the app.

    It did display video for a brief time but then cut out.

    What can I do?

    I’ve been using the Model WF010/020 Boroscope successfully since November 2017. After six months of occasional use, I am unable to get a Jetion SSID to appear in my WiFi list using an iPhone, iPad Mini and iPad 4th generation. Previously the Jetion SSID would come up, default password entered and connection established. With unit fully charged (green light went out after charging via computer USB) , blue WiFi light remains illuminated but does not flicker. Tried all the suggestions in the User manual without success. Also turned off Home WiFi signal to make sure it was not overpowering the boroscope WiFi signal. The device will no longer produce a WiFi SSID for connecting to an iPhone or an iPad which it did previously. Apple products were turned off and reset on power-up as well. I have searched your site but all suggestions have not solved the connection problem.

    Any way to reset the boroscope electronics?

        I used this for 1 hour, then unable to get any wifi signal. I’ve shut down other wifi sources, charged the battery, and the wifi still doesn’t show up. The reset button does nothing.

    Hello,
    I connect to the scope’s wifi. Blue light flashes about every 10 seconds.
    Opened the app. Tried to change SSID and pw but I don’t think it changed. When I open the app, it still defaults to WiFi_View and presumably 12345678 pw.
    But when I hit the back button, the screen is black and won’t take pictures.

    I can’t get the Videos to store in “Photos” Library.. It only worked on once for a 2 second video.. Photos work fine.. Keeps saying
    “Download Error” ….

    The videos are stored in the APP but there is no way to transfer them out for emailing…

    After about 1 hour of video recording, the camera stops recording and the recorded video file is corrupted and cannot be played back. I need to have recordings that are longer then 1 hour. Is there any fix?

    I can no longer connect to my iPad Air or iPhone 8 Plus running iOS 11.4 . I’ve tried just about all the suggestions you’ve made here to no avail (means it didn’t fix it). I just bought this a few months ago and it would be a shame if it no longer worked. How about instructions on how to connect with a computer and a browser.     Please let me know how I would use the three attachments that come with the Depstech endoscope (mirror, magnet and hook) and in what instances would I need to use them. Provide some examples of how these attachments would be needed and for what type of jobs.

      Hello Bill,
      Please follow belowing steps to attach the mirror.
      Step 1: Anticlockwise rotation to separate the small cap on the camera tip from the cable;
      Step 2: Take out the mirror attachment, intall it to the camera tip, clockwise rotation to fasten it, then you can use the mirror now.
      Magnet can be used to get objects in hard-to-reach places, such as coins under sofa, keys dropped in the drain pipe.
      Hook can be used to pick up rings or keys under the sewer pipe or else in which you’re unable to get it by your hands.
      The side view mirror will be a good tool for viewing different angles of the place you’re inspected.
